Doris Jones - Miss Seacrest Village 2009

Congratulations to Doris Jones for becoming Ms. Seacrest Village 2009. She was born in Philadelphia on November 4th, 1924. Doris attended and graduated college, later married and had four sons who would later make her proud grandmother of nine. She worked as a teacher's aide for a Day Care Center for many years. Doris has a one of a kind personality-she always smiles and brings a positive attitude to everyone around her. It's a pleasure having her on the 2nd floor. She enjoys participating in any social activity and loves spending quality time with her family. We are proud to have Doris as Ms. Seacrest Village 2009.

Barbara Grusemeyer - 1^st Runner Up

The lovely first runner up is Barbara Grusemeyer. Barbara was born on February 24th 1934 in Bridgetown, New Jersey. After graduating high school Barbara worked as a bookkeeper for a short time then later worked for the United States Airlines as a flight attendant. Throughout her life she lived in varies places of New York and New Jersey. While living in New Jersey her friends introduced her to a gentleman by the name of John, who later became her husband. They were happily married for 26 years. Barbara has wonderful personality, is very outgoing and has a gift of putting a smile on everyone's face. We are so happy to have Barbara as our first runner up for Ms. Seacrest Village.

Ella Landers - 2^nd Runner Up

Ella Landers became our 2nd Runner up for the Ms. Seacrest Village pageant. She was born on May 21st, 1914 in Metuchen, New Jersey. Ella married shortly after graduating high school and enjoyed her life as a wife and mother of three beautiful children. She loved outdoor activities, such as swimming and exercising. Ella spends her time reading, participating in social activities, intergenerational activities and listening to music. We are honored to have Ella as our 2nd runner up for Ms. Seacrest Village.

Evelyn McCorry - Ms. Congeniality 2009

The honor for Ms. Congeniality 2009 went to Evelyn McCorry. She was born in East Newark New Jersey on January 29th 1925. Evelyn graduated high and worked as a stock clerk at Hearn's Department store in Newark for twenty three years. She was married to her husband for forty nine years. Evelyn is a very knowledgeable person, and is willing to give advice when asked, always lending a helping hand to staff and her fellow residents.

Mildred Kaufman - Ms. Adult Day 2009

We had the honor to present Mildred Kaufman with Ms. Adult Day 2009. Millie as she likes to be called was born on September 24 in Philadelphia, Pa. She now resides with her daughter Joenell and her family in Manahawkin. Millie enjoys music, bingo and sharing her art work with other members of the Adult Day Center. She has been a member of the program since 2006. Millie is always available to welcome new members with her warm heart and kind words. For these reasons and more the Adult Day staff is honored to have Millie as Ms. Adult Day 2009.
